Question Five: What elements of your text would attract your target audience?

There are many elements of which I considered and to attract my target audience. The first element i considered was the language. The dialogue are extremely simple and clear, this is important because  my target audience would become uninterested during the duration of the film if the dialogue was any more complex, for example if there was an increased use of words of a more advanced vocabulary. I think it is more important in a crime/gangter movie to show predominantly action.
A nother thing would be that we used teenager as protagonist, this is as they will be able to relate to the character. We have also given our characters costumes to adapt to the Crime and Gangster genre to add to the authenticity of the film. We have both of our main characters wearing modern but 'chavvy' with jeans and hoodies. A main element to attract my target audience was the place settig. The first location give the illusion as if we are in a hidden place or in a backstreet full of graffity. This help the audience as well to getting more into the story and the mood of the situation. The second location was in the apartment of the dealer, it is a small dirty room with 2 chairs in it. You can see that he is in a social lower class. The third location, where we filmed the ending of my film, was in a dark tunnel in this location were graffitys as well. It is quite important that we choosed places full of graffity because it let the location look more "city like". I think it is also attract the target audience more because the places look not so boring, more apealing for the audience and much more dangerous through the graffity.
