Question 7: Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt from it in the process?

From looking back at my preliminary task I learnt a lot about technical, acting and team skills.


Here are the things i have learnt from each category:

Technical skills:
In my preliminary task we had to film a conversation between two people. We did the howl filming in one day. I did not realize that aspects like the weather would be so important. I had to plan filming on days that where of similar weather and as most of the filming was done outide it couldn’t have been wet the day before either because the ground will have been too wet and would have looked different. 
My time management increased great during this project because I had to plan filming on days were my whole team could be present and the weather conditions were right.
All these small aspects i never thought of at the beginning of this course would make a diffrent.
I improved also my editing skills while doing my film, in the preliminary task the cuts were slightly off and sometimes did not look as if they worked well in the task. Looking at my finished film, my cuts are very well placed and make a smooth passing from clip to clip. Other technical skills are the addeting of titel, when I did my preliminary task me and my team not even thought about to add titles. I had some problems to add the titel in a good looking place.  But at the end we learnt various techniques into adding titles and inserted them into a well chosen position.

Team and acting skills:
 I learnt from doing the preliminary task that it is sometimes very stressfull to act after  the arrangements of others and without a storybord. So i decided to take other ideas first and incorporate my own ideas afterwards. After this I drew a storybored by my self. Before starting with the filming i thought about how i could play my role as realistic as posible. Catherine (the second main actress) and Me used to practice some scenes in the drama-room in our spare time. We filmed some exercises to look them later on on the computer. This helped us to improve our acting skills and team skills as well.

The Finished Product is a great succsess how I think. It was the first film i produced in my life. Me and my team have worked and cooperated very well together and created a well made and good looking opening to a Crime and Ganster film.
